Deputy Chief - Operations

Deputy Chief Aaron Beemer has been with the Mason City Fire Department since 2000.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2018 and later that same year Deputy Fire Chief of Operations.  Before coming to the Mason City Fire Department, Aaron was a truck driver and an Infantryman in the United States Army.

Chief Beemer received his Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from North Iowa Community College.  He is currently working toward his Bachelors in Fire Administration at Waldorf University.  He is also certified by the State of Iowa as a Firefighter II, Instructor I, Fire Officer II, Fire and Arson Investigator, and Hazardous Materials Technician.

As the Deputy Chief of Operations, Chief Beemer directs the day to day operations of the fire department and also serves as the team leader for the North Iowa Hazmat Team.  When not at work Aaron enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
