Individuals wishing to use a metal detector in public parks must obtain a permit and agree to fully obey conditions outlined in the application for the permit which includes Parks rules and regulations and applicable city, state and federal laws, rules or regulations. Permits may be obtained from the Mason City Parks and Recreation office, 100 S. Federal Ave, Suite 201, Mason City, Iowa Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm.
