Non-Discrimination Notice
The City of Mason City assures that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.L. 100.259), be excluded from or participation in, be denied benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity. The City of Mason City further assures every effort will be made to ensure non-discrimination in all of its committees, programs and activities regardless of the funding source.
The City of Mason City will include Title VI language in all written agreements and bid notices and will monitor compliance.
The City administrator of the City of Mason City will be responsible for initiating and monitoring Title VI activities, and all other responsibilities as required.
Complaints must be in writing, and must be signed by the complainant and/or the complainants' representative. A Title VI non-discrimination complaint form is available at the Mason City City Administrator's office in City Hall, 10 First Street NW, Mason City, IA 50401, during normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm.

In compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 (49 CFR Parts 27, 37, 38 and 39), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, Mason City Transit ensures its services, vehicles, and facilities are accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and directives from the Federal Transit Administration, Mason City Transit will make every effort, to the maximum extent feasible, to ensure that a person with a disability has access to, and benefits from, its services. Mason City Transit will make reasonable modifications to its policies, programs, and procedures applicable to its transportation services, when necessary to avoid discrimination and ensure accessibility for people with disabilities.
